The Cabinet was provided with an update on the current shared working arrangement with Tonbridge & Malling Borough Council and sought authority to cease this arrangement and establish a new shared management arrangement with Medway Council.
The Director (Corporate Services) advised that the Council’s Bridging the Gap Strategy sets out the Council’s saving requirements over the coming years and that the above would contribute to the delivery of the overall saving target.
Detailed consideration was given to the information contained within the report and questions from Cabinet Members were put to and answered by Officers.
Resolved that the proposals outlined within the report be approved and the formal process to establish a shared management arrangement be commenced.
