20180599 - Scheme Manager's Flat, Chichester Rise, Gravesend pdf icon PDF 132 KB

Additional documents:

Decision:

Resolved that application 20180599 be DELEGATED to the Planning Manager (Development Management) to grant planning permission subject to:

A)   the conditions set out in the report and the supplementary report with the wording to condition 3 amended by deleting the words ‘if able bodied’ after the number 60 and;

B)   the reconfiguration of the unit referred to as 34a from a one bed one person unit with a floorspace of 47.48 sqm to a one bedroom two person unit with a floorspace of not less than 50 sqm.

The planning conditions etc. to be detailed in the decision notice issued by the Planning Department and made available on the following link: www.gravesham.gov.uk/planning-search

Minutes:

The Board considered an application for the conversion of ex-scheme manager’s flat and guest room into 2 one bedroom self-contained flats for persons over the age of 60 (55 if disabled).

The development was being proposed by the Council and such applications have been excluded from the Council’s scheme of delegated powers. Therefore this application was required to be considered by the members of the Council’s Regulatory Board (Planning).

The Board considered the application and felt that a two person flat would be more useful given the housing situation in the Borough, than a one person flat and asked that the reconfiguration of the unit referred to as 34a be considered.

Resolved that application 20180599 be DELEGATED to the Planning Manager (Development Management) to grant planning permission subject to:

A)   the conditions set out in the report and the supplementary report with the wording to condition 3 amended by deleting the words ‘if able bodied’ after the number 60 and;

B)   the reconfiguration of the unit referred to as 34a from a one bed one person unit with a floorspace of 47.48 sqm to a one bedroom two person unit with a floorspace of not less than 50 sqm.
