Further to Minute 34 of the last meeting, responses from the public consultation of the draft review of the Statement of Licensing Policy were brought to the Committee for consideration. The consultation saw a low level of response, which was provided in appendix 3 of the agenda.
A Councillor comment made suggestions to improve the clarity and format of the policy document, however the policy format is in line with the template provided by the Gambling Commission and is a common format across the Kent Authorities.
Meopham Parish Council submitted a comment and expressed support for the proposed ‘no casinos’ resolution.
Resolved that the recommendations, as shown in appendix 3 of the report, be incorporated in the Statement of Licensing Policy and put before Council for approval on 4 December 2012.
