Minutes:

Those present observed a minute’s silence as a mark of respect for Herr Strohdiek who had served the Neumunster Town Twinning community for a considerable time.  Mr Strohdiek had recently passed away.

The Chief Executive reminded Members that all individual votes in relation to the budget and any amendments thereto would be recorded as required by legislation.

 

The Council consented under Council Procedure Rule 17.4.1 to an extension of time being given to Cllr John Burden and to an equal amount being given to Cllr John Cubitt in his response.

 

It was moved by Cllr John Burden and seconded by Cllr Lee Croxton that –

 

the motion before Council as set out on  pages 37-39 in the order paper and Minute 49 General Fund Revenue and Capital Estimates 2015/16 and Minute 50 Housing Revenue Account Estimates and Housing Capital Programme 2015/16 of the Cabinet held on 2 February 2015 be adopted.

 

It was moved by Cllr Derek Shelbrooke and seconded by Cllr Leslie Hills that –

 

the Council take up the 1 per cent Government Council Tax Freeze Grant and therefore no increase be made to the Council Tax for 2015/16.

Council considered the Pay Policy Statement that had been revised to reflect changes made to the Local Government Pension Scheme from April 2014 and the relationship between the remuneration of the Chief Executive and other employees from 2011/12 to 2013/14.

 

Resolved that the amended Pay Policy Statement be agreed.

The Mayor reminded everyone that his Charity Dinner will take place on 28 March and that tickets were still available.  He invited everyone to partake in the refreshments available in his parlour after the meeting.
